Hello all

Most of you have had SOME sort of contact with me but I haven't updated my journal in forever. I'm home from school for the summer and kind of bored but I start work full time on Monday. I went up to Kelowna for the long weekend and it was a blast so now I guess I'm ready to start working.

I bought a new camera . Its a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5 for those of you interested. It has a 10x optical zoom and 9.1 Megapixels. Lots of other sweet stuff too but I haven't really had the opportunity to try it out besides snapshots.

Also, while I was in Kelowna I got my nose pierced. It's kinda red and swollen still but I'm in love with it. This is going to sound lame to most of you but doing something thats quite out of character for me, going into a somewhat sketchy looking tatoo parlor and letting a complete stranger put a needle through my nose made me feel really great...independent (despite holding Steve's hand and having Jesse right beside me) and like I'm a little bit more interesting. I'm one of those people who keeps their opinions to themselves and doesn't want to be noticed and I'm getting kind of tired of it. I've been so bored and apathetic since getting out of school and going up to Kelowna broke me out of that so I'm feeling pretty good right now

I've decided I want to become an ecologist. There is going to be a lot of jobs available in ecology and I find it super interesting plus I get to study plant biology like I wanted as well as some cell biology and genetics. Unfortunately I also have to do animal biology but I can deal with it. I'm still debating telling everyone at my cousin's wedding that I want to become an evolutionary biologist because both her family and her fiance's family are quite religious...just to see their reactions

It's black belt day at taekwondo next Saturday and I'm nervous because I have to do a demonstration and I've been out of taekwondo for 8 months. Not much to do but practice though.

Anyways thats a summary of my life for the last week. Hope everyone's doing well.
